The Hi-Desert Fly Fishing Club

Created in May of 2005 to promote fly fishing and to educate new anglers, the Hi-Desert Fly Fishing Club emphasizes catch and release as well as conservation to protect natural resources and encourage responsible sportsmanship. The Club offers classes in fly tying, fly rod construction and casting clinics. Monthly meetings may include guest speakers, fly fishing media or demonstrations to encourage members' expertise and interest. Monthly outings to area lakes and streams allow members to practice and improve their angling skills. New members are always welcome!

The Fly Fishers enjoyed a great day at the Lakes. Those, new to the sport, got special instruction while the more experienced anglers just had a lot of fun and honed their skills.

General meetings are held the second Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm at the County Fire Station located at the corner of Apple Valley Road and Yucca Loma Road in Apple Valley, California. The Hi-Desert Fly Fishing Club is now a charter member of the the Federation of Fly Fishermen.
